We Use A Gentle and Supportive Approach to Separation Anxiety
If your child is under the age of 4, it is likely that your little fish will fuss for the first few lessons due to separation. It is normal for them to cry during their first lessons, so do not get discouraged.
Parents are asked to get in the water with students age 2 and under for the first few lessons. If you do not plan on getting in the water with your swimmer, your coach may ask you to watch the lesson from somewhere the child cannot see you. This helps with your child's adjustment to their new coach.
Crying, anxiety, and fearfulness can be expected of beginning swimmers. Therefore, our instructors are trained to use a gentle and supportive approach to introducing them to the water.
Your coach will do everything possible to make the lesson both enjoyable and productive and sooth your swimmer!
